Putting Durability to the Test

Durability took centre stage as participants engaged in challenges designed to demonstrate the HONOR X9e Pro's resistance to water exposure and physical impact. The off-road experience with ROX provided an early test of the smartphone's dust resistance, with devices mounted outside the vehicles as they navigated rough, sandy terrain.

The experience then moved on water, with smartphones mounted onto jet skis as participants raced to complete a designated course in the shortest time. During dinner, guests took part in a walnut-smashing competition, each racing to crack ten walnuts using the smartphone in the shortest time possible. Following both challenges, the devices were checked for screen responsiveness and overall functionality, demonstrating how the HONOR X9e Pro's reinforced construction is designed to withstand physical impact without compromising everyday usability.

The experience also included a visit to the former National Bank of Kuwait branch on Failaka Island, a building damaged during the Gulf War, where the device was dropped from the second floor to demonstrate its impact resistance.

Following the challenges, the devices were checked for continued functionality, including screen responsiveness and overall operation, demonstrating how the HONOR X9e Pro's reinforced construction is designed to withstand physical impact.

Supporting these capabilities is an impact-management structure designed to distribute force away from critical components, alongside reinforced materials and specialised display bonding.
